While things do seem to be getting better, it doesn’t look like COVID-19 is going away anytime soon. People are still ending up hospitalized or with long-term complications, and this is especially true for those of us with disabilities who might already have underlying health conditions. And now we’re in flu season, making all of this even more serious.
If you’re a person with a disability, here are the best ways to stay safe and out of the hospital:
Wear a mask
Wash your hands
Get vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19
Get vaccinated against the flu
If you have a disability, contact us at 775-353-3599 or firstname.lastname@example.org, if you would like assistance making a vaccine appointment, to arrange for accommodations (accessible vaccine sites, home vaccination, etc.), or to access free masks.
You can also find information on vaccines and locations near you at www.immunizenevada.org/find-vaccine-clinics.
Let’s all stay safe!
